Andrés Porras Gutiérrez

Andrés is an educator and social entrepreneur from Mexico, dedicated to advancing human development and social change through education. He has over a decade of experience designing and leading initiatives with schools, nonprofits, and faith-based organizations in Mexico and the Middle East, including five years supporting Syrian, Palestinian and Iraqi refugees in Lebanon. Andrés is co-creating the Leading Change Network Hub for Latin America, an initiative that trains leaders and organizations in Marshall Ganz’s organizing practices to strengthen civic participation and social transformation. He holds bachelor’s degrees in Education and Religious Studies, a master’s in Human Development, and is currently pursuing a second master’s at the Harvard Graduate School of Education, in the Education Policy and Analysis program. His work focuses on empowering marginalized communities, fostering empathy-driven leadership, and building networks that mobilize people toward justice and dignity. He became a dad in 2025.
