Rebekah Rogers

Rebekah Rogers is a graduate of Spelman College and is currently pursuing a Master of Education in Human Development at HGSE. She entered the program to reimagine science education, moving beyond conformity and rigid structures to approaches that foster creativity, individuality, and cultural awareness. Rogers first became interested in transforming education after teaching the MCAT while attending medical school. Her experiences led her to found Black Roots Tutoring, an e-learning and standardized test preparation company dedicated to supporting students from underrepresented backgrounds. She partners with universities to reinvigorate curricula, creating resources that expand student access to material while freeing teachers from the need to backfill gaps. At Harvard, her focus is on building new systems to help underrepresented students in medicine and science prepare for successful careers. Leveraging Harvard’s network, she is developing a pilot program scheduled to debut on Martha’s Vineyard in the summer of 2027.
